The Muse of Home

I guide women in remembering their role as guardians of the home and in turning their homes into sacred temples.

ABOUT ME

My name is Katherine J. Galeano, founder of The Muse of Home. I was born in Colombia, my mother’s native land, with Argentinian roots from my father. When I was eight years old, we moved to the United States, beginning a new chapter of life between cultures and worlds.

As a little girl, my grandfather would often ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. My answer was always the same: a painter.

Creativity has always been my first language. I attended an art high school where I painted and danced, and from a young age I naturally decorated and rearranged spaces, caring deeply for my surroundings. Art and space felt instinctive to me.

When I was younger, I began studying interior design, hoping to follow that creative path. Along the way I realized that the traditional way did not fully align with how I perceived beauty and space. Still, the experience allowed me to work inside an interior design firm as an assistant, where I gained valuable insight into the world of design and the creation of homes.

Life eventually led me through many different seasons. I married young and built a home, only to later experience separation and loss. Rebuilding my life became a return to myself.

I immersed myself again in beauty, in dance, in galleries, and in painting. At the same time, I dove deeply into spiritual practice, devotion, and community, exploring different paths of inner growth and self understanding.

Eventually I understood something essential. Spirituality and beauty were never separate.

The home is a temple.
The body is a temple.
Creativity is sacred.

Motherhood transformed me. It awakened my understanding of the feminine as the guiding presence within the home, the rhythm keeper, the energy holder.

Through love, loss, devotion, and rebuilding, I reclaimed my voice. When I later found the Sacred Interior Design certification with Sacred Interiors, it gave language to what I had always felt intuitively. There I refined my eye and approach to the home and deepened my understanding of space as something living and energetic.

Along the way I also studied Feng Shui with Marie Diamond, integrating its wisdom into my own home and the spaces I help others cultivate.

Later I became certified in Sound Healing with Integrasound, following another deep passion and weaving together energy, aesthetics, intuition, and embodied expression.

My deepest education, I feel, has always come from lived experience.

My current relationship has also shaped me profoundly. It has taught me about love, boundaries, honoring myself, and the strength that comes from being both supported and sovereign. Through it I have deepened my understanding of tending the home as a sacred act that brings harmony to life and relationships.

I have always been the gatherer. The one who creates atmosphere, lights candles, brings people together, and adds warmth to what feels ordinary. This instinct eventually became part of my work.

Today I weave together many of my passions through gatherings and circles for women, where sound, reflection, creative expression, and meaningful connection come together. These spaces allow women to reconnect with themselves, their creativity, and the sacredness of the home and life.

Nature restores me. I love bonfires, deep conversations, open skies, music under the stars, the quiet company of my beloved guinea pigs, and the wonder of creating something from nothing.

In this phase of my life I am also returning more deeply to my artistic path as a painter, something that has lived in me since childhood. I seek solitude to immerse myself in creation, continuing to nurture my life’s longest love, art.

I am still evolving. Still tending my inner flame.

Like the lotus, I am blooming in real time.
And I invite you to do the same.
